These terms cover the NPC Labs website and the Verified by NPC demo API. By using them, you agree to these terms.

What the service does

NPC Labs is building the trust layer for commerce. The demo API answers one question, "is this real?", against NPC Labs records: whether a product is authentic, whether a credential is valid, whether a claim matches an attestation, and whether an AI agent is verified. The plugin verifies only; it cannot issue verifications.

Demo data

The public demo fixtures are fictional and labeled demo-. They exist so reviewers and users can try the service. They are not real products, credentials, claims, or agents.

Fair use

Use the service for its purpose: checking verification status. Do not abuse it, attempt to break it, misrepresent its answers as your own records, or use it to harm others. We may rate-limit or block misuse.

Answers are informational

Verification answers are provided as-is, based on NPC Labs records at the time of the lookup. An "unknown" answer means we have no record; it is never a claim that something is false. For decisions that matter, do your own diligence.

Intellectual property

The site content, the NPC Labs name, and the verification marks are ours. You may link to us and quote us with credit; please do not copy the site or imply endorsement.
